Clarke’s headed out to an isolated group of islands in New Zealand’s North Island – the Mokohinau Islands. It’s a favourite spot of Clarkes, and home to some of the largest Yellowtail Kingfish in the world. His plan is to speed-jig for them on rod and then get in the water and spear one for celebrity chef Peter Gordon to cook up. But he’s not alone. With him is All Black Rugby legend Dan Carter. Dan is keen to try to spear one of these monsters himself, but it will be no easy task. Clarke is successful managing to land a huge Kingfish, but for Dan it will have to be next trip. Back in Auckland, Clarke takes the Kingfish, just hours old, up to the Sugar Club in Aucklands’ Sky Tower, where chef Peter Gordon is waiting to unlock his secret Kingfish recipe.
