This is the show's producer's home away from home. He's been there more than 20 times and knows this region of the Pacific like the back of his hand.

If you want a real safe adventure and you're not afraid to get away from it all, then Vanuatu offers some exceptional opportunities from the land divers of Pentecost Island (home of the bungy jump), to live volcanoes, traditional villages, and the largest accessible wreck dive in the world.

Culture

Diversity is the word we'd use to describe the culture here. There are more than 130 different languages across 80 or so islands creating a wealth of culture all with subtle differences from language to dance to food. The nation was governed jointly by the French and the English until independence in 1980. Today the locals speak a mix of their own languages, Pigeon English, English and French.

Fishing

Fishing around Vanuatu is all about the pelagics and the formidable Dogtooth Tuna. There are a number of top-notch operators in and around Vila and Havanna Harbour as well as to the north at Santo. Planning a trip here is as much about getting a real holiday as it is fishing, so plan what you want to do and then we can set up fishing at each destination to suit your requirements.

Diving

There is so much to dive on here in Vanuatu. The reef diving is extraordinary and you don’t even have to leave the Vila region to experience it. Hideaway Island Resort caters for both divers and snorkelers while more hard-core divers should head north. In Santo is one of the diver bucket list dives - the President Coolage. You simply cannot come to Vanuatu and not do this dive - the largest accessible wreck in the world.

Where to stay

There are options to suit all budgets from family orientated resorts through to boutique resorts like Hideaway Island where you can dive on your doorstep. Across the hill to the west is Havanna Harbour and the internationally acclaimed Havanna Harbour Resort. We also have options for travellers headed south to see the volcano on Tanna as well as divers and fishermen heading north to Santo. Just tell us what you want, what you want to spend and let us do all the work.
